Si narra che nell’antico monastero femminile di San Giovanni a Scorzone,
intorno all’anno 1011le suore abbiano coltivato a vitigno un appezzamento di terreno
a loro donato dall’antica IUARIA un piccolo ministero del contado di Teramo
e che propio in suo onore abbiano creato un vino dalle propietà a lor dire mistiche
poichè una volta bevuto,la senzazione che dava era quella di innalzare l’uomo al cielo,
liberandolo dalla sua corporalità per raggiungere uno stato divino.
